Adelaide:
Adelaide Oval membership is becoming an emotional fight, with the two Adelaide AFL clubs facing a loss of a combined 6000 members to the Stadium Management Authority’s Ultimate membership.

Brisbane:
One of the Brisbane Lions with the least to prove made the biggest statement at Monday’s first pre-season training session.

Carlton:
Coach Mick Malthouse has challenged former number one draft pick Bryce Gibbs to elevate his game to a new level in the midfield in 2013.

Collingwood:
If Collingwood’s newly appointed VFL coach Dale Tapping is searching for a prototype on which to model his side, he need look no further than his counterparts down the Princes Highway.

Essendon:
Tom Fields and Nick Kommer will train with Essendon throughout the pre-season as the pair attempts to gain a spot on the Club’s list.

Fremantle:
Former Fremantle coach Damian Drum, the first AFL coach accused of “list management” to gain priority picks, says tanking will continue until the AFL removes such a huge incentive for failure.

Geelong:
With just over 200 days until the first game in front of the new Players Stand at Simonds Stadium, the Geelong Football Club has posted an update of their progress.

Gold Coast:
Gun midfielder David Swallow admits Gold Coast Suns went “soft” last season and must develop a stronger physical presence if they’re to surge up the ladder in 2013.

Greater Western Sydney:
The Giants have announced that they have already signed more than 4,000 members for season 2013.

Hawthorn:
The Hawks have made the sad announcement of the passing of Life Member, player and coach Peter O’Donohue, who died peacefully on Sunday 4 November, aged 89.

Melbourne:
Former Melbourne Demons coach Dean Bailey is arguing he is innocent of tanking claims, despite being in the “vault” when football operations manager Chris Connolly reinforced the need to play for draft picks.

North Melbourne:
The Roos hope the investigation into its handling of concussed player Lachlan Hansen will end soon after it provided the AFL with an explanation for its actions.

Port Adelaide:
Port Adelaide players will continue to receive counselling as they struggle to deal with John McCarthy’s death.

Richmond:
Coach Damien Hardwick is banking on the Tigers’ backline to drive the Tigers up the ladder in 2013.

St Kilda:
The Saints have announced two players have extended their contracts into 2013, with Tom Ledger and Beau Wilkes re-signing for a further year.

Sydney Swans:
Symbolic of the Sydney Swans’ rise to the 2012 flag is Lewis Jetta, and the reigning premier’s most improved player has sent an ominous warning to the rest of the competition: The kids are getting better.

West Coast:
Fresh from a break in the state’s north, runner-up Club Champion Dean Cox called in to club headquarters for a quick chat before continuing his holidays.

Western Bulldogs:
The were a variety of reasons why Koby Stevens left West Coast and one very big one for joining the Western Bulldogs.
